Shipping And Returns
*Thermal Scientific, Inc. currently only ships within the U.S. If you are located outside of the U.S. but wish to purchase from us, please contact a procurement company located in the U.S. to assist you.
Order Processing
All orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays). Orders will then be scheduled for delivery or shipment at our earliest convenience.
Shipping Rates
Thermal Scientific will utilize the most efficient method to ensure your order arrives safely to you; primarily via UPS, FedEx, LTL carriers, or Thermal Scientific’s delivery service. The rates listed on your sales order or online order are estimates provided by our carriers and are subject to change to meet actual shipping costs. Your invoice will reflect final shipping costs. Unless otherwise noted, all shipments are FOB Origin. Thermal Scientific does not currently ship internationally.
Delivery & In-Store Pickup
Thermal Scientific has the ability to deliver products to customers at its discretion ("TSI delivery"). Customers can request TSI delivery through their local customer service associates. Pre-approved TSI delivery customers may select "local delivery" upon checkout on the website. Absent special circumstances, Thermal Scientific charges a reasonable fee for TSI delivery. In-Store pickup is welcome at any of our five Texas locations.
Delays
Delays can occur that are outside Thermal Scientific’s control, such as issues with manufacturer production, supply chain, carrier challenges, acts of God, or items that must be custom manufactured to meet your specifications.
Special Instructions
Any requested special shipping instructions will be followed as closely as possible. Thermal Scientific reserves the right to change the method of shipment for items that, when required by regulations or in our judgment, cannot be safely shipped in the method requested.
Handling Fees
Thermal Scientific applies a handling fee to most orders to offset the costs associated with properly handling, storing, packing, and further fulfilling item orders.
Hazardous Items
Certain hazardous items may have shipping restrictions and may require additional hazardous charges; any charges of this type will be included in your final invoice. Note** Hazardous chemicals cannot be shipped to residential addresses, including home-based businesses. Orders placed online with a residential delivery address will be canceled.
Breakage & Shortages
Shipment Inspection
All shipments must be inspected within 24 hours of receipt and damages reported within 48 hours of receipt or the customer waives any claim to the related product.
Breakage
If you receive a shipment that has damage (visible or concealed), please contact your servicing Thermal Scientific location. Exterior visible damage should be noted on the delivering carrier's receipt at the time of delivery. Concealed damage must be reported to Thermal Scientific within 48 hours of receipt of material. All packaging material must be retained with breakage until inspection is accomplished.
Shortages
If you receive a shipment and all items are not present, check the Bill of Lading to ensure there is not another package en route with the remainder of the order. If all items are shown on the packing slip but not in the shipment, please contact your servicing Thermal Scientific location.
Product Return Terms & Conditions
Thermal Scientific Inc. 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee
Merchandise that has been purchased from Thermal Scientific is eligible for return or exchange up to thirty (30) days from the date of invoice unless otherwise noted. The following provisions apply:
Proof of Purchase
Proof of purchase from Thermal Scientific is required for all returns.
RMA Number
Returns must be pre-approved by an authorized Thermal Scientific representative and assigned a Return Merchandise Authorization number, which must accompany the returned items.
Final Sale Items
Merchandise sold on a “Final Sale” basis includes:
- Special-order or non-inventory items
- Personalized or customized items
- Items sourced specifically for you as a customer
- Clearance items
- Items marked on invoice as “non-Cancellable” or “Non-Returnable”
- Any other item Thermal Scientific may designate as a “Final Sale” from time to time
Hazardous Materials
When hazardous materials are authorized by Thermal Scientific for return, the customer is responsible for packing, labeling, and shipping according to applicable laws and regulations. In the event of an unauthorized return, the customer will be responsible for the removal of the unauthorized returned product and may be responsible for handling, storage, and/or disposal fees.
Insuring Returns
Thermal Scientific will not credit any returns that are damaged due to improper packaging during the return shipping. For this reason, we suggest that you insure the item(s) for the purchase/replacement price.
Restocking
All returns may be subject to a restocking fee. Merchandise ordered incorrectly, opened or expired chemicals, broken items, reseller items (must be in resellable condition), non-stock items (with the exception of manufacturer defects), and items returned without prior authorization may be refused.
Exceptions to our Return Policy
- Temperature-controlled items may not be returned, even if unused.
- Made-to-order or special-order items (items not routinely stocked by Thermal Scientific or not currently sold by Thermal Scientific) may not be returned.
- Discontinued, obsolete, expired, used, or items in units of measure less than original unit of sale may not be returned.
- Final Sale items may not be returned.
- Hazardous items and chemicals may be returned on a case-by-case basis.
Return Process
If you need to return an item, contact your servicing Thermal Scientific location directly to acquire a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. If you are shipping the item:
- Carefully package the item(s) and include the packing slip. Note*** All items must be returned in their original packaging and include all accessories, certificates, and manuals included in the original shipment.
- Write the reason for returning the product on your packing slip; if the packing slip is not available, please provide the purchase date, the original invoice number, and the item number for the product.
- Indicate whether you would like a replacement item or a credit.
- Properly package the item and write the RA number on the box below the address.
- Ship the package to your servicing Thermal Scientific location. Location addresses are displayed on our website “Contact Us” page.
- Please prepay shipping - Thermal Scientific does not accept Cash on Delivery (C.O.D.s).

Refunds
Purchases paid by credit card will receive a cash refund back to the same card. Purchases made by purchase order will receive a credit memo. Please allow up to 15 days for processing.
